The DORII Summer School 2009 was held in the hotel Aviva in St. Stefan am Walde, Austria from 7 - 10 September 2009. Various sessions covering general project information, Grid introduction presentations, tutorials on how to use the DORII middleware and hands-on sessions took place. About 30 participants joined the very interesting sessions and enjoyed the beautiful hotel and surrounding area.

The students had the opportunity to have a glance of the major results carried out by the ongoing DORII project and to directly put into practice what they learnt during the sessions. Chances to participate in discussions and to develop new ideas were particularly welcome by the participants, who were able to collate their working experiences with the recent developments accomplished within the DORII e-Infrastructure. The beauties of the surrounding areas were a perfect framework for the whole event.
