Malpensa is the international hub in the North of Italy.

First option

1. take a bus to Milano Central Station. The service is provided by many companies, the tickets can be bought on the bus for about 7 € and the trip takes about 1 hour (1 hour and 30 minutes if traffic congestion);
2. take a train to Pavia, see the Italian Railways web site. Trip time: 40 minutes for Regional trains (3.05 €), 30 minutes for Inter City trains (6.5 €). Last train at about midnight.

Second option

1. take the Malpensa Express from Malpensa Airport to Cadorna Station (about 30 minutes, 11 €);
2. take the tube, green line, direction Cologno Nord or Gessate and get off at Milano Central Station. Tickets 1 €, about 20 minutes. For detail see the Milano public transportation website, From “Cadorna FN” to “Stazione Centrale FS”;
3. take a train to Pavia, see the Italian Railways web site. Trip time: 40 minutes for Regional trains (3.05 €), 30 minutes for Inter City trains (6.5 €). Last train at about midnight.

Linate is the city's airport.

First option

1. take a bus directly to Pavia, according to this timetable (in Italian). See the column on the right, departures only at 9.00, 11.50, 14.00, 17.00, 20.30. Ticket 13 €, trip time about 1 hour.

Second option, more frequent, but it takes more time

1. take a bus to Milano Central Station, every 30 minutes from 6.05 to 23.45. Tickets can be bought on the bus, about 8 €, trip time about 40 minutes;
2. take a train to Pavia, see the Italian Railways web site. Trip time: 40 minutes for Regional trains (3.05 €), 30 minutes for Inter City trains (6.5 €). Last train at about midnight.

Orio al Serio is good for low cost companies.

1. take a bus to Milano Central Station. The service is provided by two companies. Tickets are sold on the bus for about 8 €. Trip time about 1 hour;
2. take a train to Pavia, see the Italian Railways web site. Trip time: 40 minutes for Regional trains (3.05 €), 30 minutes for Inter City trains (6.5 €). Last train at about midnight.
