Based on the deliverable DNA2.7 which shows how to deploy the DORII middleware, the workshop was structured as follows. It was decided to give an overview of the DORII project at the beginning and proceed with a presentation of the DORII middleware and the g-Eclipse framework which can be used to get information about the instruments, access the instruments and the remote visualization functionality. The tutorial sessions about Instrument Element and Virtual Control Room showed how to deploy the middleware and the demonstration showed the set up infrastructure.
