The Insitituto de Hidráulica Ambiental de Cantabria, Universidad de Cantabria has developed the HORUS system. It allows an institution to monitor by means of different kinds of sensors a wide variety of natural sites and phenomena. Here one can see one of the Horus sites (Puntal beach, Santander, Spain). The first image shows the measured beach user density for an instant. The other one shows how the water line is calculated by means of different border detection algorithms all joined inside the PSDM system. The PSDM run over different beach profiles allows to calculate daily bathymetric data to update the boundary conditions for wave propagation models. The last image shows the result of one propagation to the Magdalena and Puntal beaches for September, 20, 2008, 00:00UTC
