Release 1.0

The Release 1.0 was the first prototype of the middleware components which compose the DORII middleware architecture. The release contains the final versions of the middleware components which extend functionality of the basic gLite grid middleware towards the NA3 application requirements:

  • Remote instrumentation services (Instrument Element)
  • Infrastructure user’s and developer’s front-ends (Virtual Control Room, Workflow Management System)
  • Communication library for parallel MPI applications (Open MPI)
  • Other components, such as enhanced visualization client GVid (please refer to for the complete description)
